Privacy Policy
This policy explains which personal data is processed when you use the Tescar app and the server that powers it, why, and how.
1. Data controller

2. Data we process
- Account: the user identifier Apple provides when you sign in with Apple and, if you choose to share them, your email address and name.
- Tesla connection: the session tokens granted for access to your Tesla account. They are stored encrypted; your Tesla password never reaches us.
- Vehicle data: battery, charging, driving, temperature, tire pressure and location data sent by your vehicle, and its vehicle identification number (VIN).
- Subscription: the type and expiry date of your App Store subscription. Your payment details stay with Apple and never reach us.
3. Purposes and legal basis
Data is processed to build the driving, charging and statistics screens, to relay vehicle commands (lock, climate, charging) and to verify your subscription. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you; location data is processed with your explicit consent.
4. Transfers
- Server: data is stored in Oracle Cloud's Frankfurt (Germany) data center.
- Tesla: to receive vehicle data and send commands.
- Apple: for sign-in, subscriptions and (can be turned off in Settings) turning drive start/end points into place names.
Your data is not used for advertising, is not sold to third parties and is not used to track you.
5. Retention and account deletion
Data is kept while your account is open. When you delete your account in the app via Settings → Delete my account (or, if your subscription has ended, via ⋯ → Delete my account on the subscription screen), all your data is deleted immediately, your vehicle stops sending data to this service and your Sign in with Apple connection is revoked; it is removed from backups within 14 days.
A few days after your subscription ends, your vehicle stops sending data to this service; it resumes automatically when you subscribe again. Your recorded data is not deleted during this time.
6. Security
Connections are encrypted (TLS). Tesla and Apple session tokens are encrypted with AES-256. Sensitive vehicle commands require Face ID / passcode confirmation on your device.
7. Your rights
You have the right to know whether your data is processed, to request information, to have it corrected or deleted, to object, and to seek compensation for damages. Send requests to ozgun.gungor@hotmail.com; they are answered within 30 days.
8. Changes
When this policy is updated, the date at the top changes; significant changes are announced in the app.
